Theming and Reference

I settled on going with the futuristic theming for the environment, as I feel that it is more appropriate for the tasks the player will be performing during their time playing. Since they will be interacting with machinery, I felt it would be easier for me to design the world with a sleek, clinical design, as the steampunk aesthetic is messier and the machines are more complex, with the use of a lot of gears. Although the steampunk aesthetic is more creative and appealing, with the recent change in the coursework requirements, there is less of a need to theme the world around an artists studio. As such, a sleek environment is more appropriate.
